Rajat's Club 'HOME' helps underprivileged get education
He conducts awareness camps on child rights

Coimbatore: Coimbatore city has started seeing a number of children with societal consciousness emerging in the horizon.

One among them is Rajat Radhakrishnan, a Plus One student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, RS Puram.
A livewire, he has any number of slogans regarding children and their rights up his sleeve.
Without stopping with words, he has formed a Club named HOME – Helping Orphans Meet Education.

Aim
According to him, the main aim of this club is to help the underprivileged children study.

Besides, it would strive to enlighten children on their rights and duties.

So far he has initiated a number of activities in this regard.

They include selling greeting cards for raising funds and conducting a survey on awareness of Child Rights among adults in Vaikalpalayam village.

Survey

He has attempted similar survey in CBM Government High School and Kulathupalayam Government High School also.

He has organised awareness camps on the topic 'Child Rights & Dreams' and 'No to crackers' and 'No to child labour' during Deepavali in various schools including Bharati Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sree Narayana Guru Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, CBM Government High School and Kulathupalayam Government High School.
Interaction session

The interaction programmes he has conducted include a programme called Ondru seruvom (Lets unite) for children from the Parvathipuram village at Shanti Ashram and a programme for the inmates of Don Bosco House at Lurdhupuram Church.

Recently, he conducted an awareness programme for children at the Angappa School also.
