Bala Nagar Slum Schools-Support

Hi all,

There is a small announcement from AMMA team. We sent many mails seeking your advise when we started work in Amru Nagar Thanda slum (near Bala Nagar). It has been a great journey and the school has been established well.

Prasad (Thanda) extended his efforts to Two more nearest Slums. Totally we have running 3 Slums in Bala Nagar along with Serve The Needy Group. After Working hard we, AMMA & STN, succeed in  creating a Strong base/platform for further expansion. Prasad, coordinator, requested that Many other associations wish to handle the project by sponsoring and taking the complete responsibility,  So we, AMMA team, decided to leave the management of activities in Bala Nagar slums to New Groups from this Academic Year i.e April, 2012. We wish them all the very best and are ready to extend our help, if required.

I take this opportunity to thank all the AMMA, STN & BOSF volunteers and donors who are responsible for the present state of the schools to the present state. Right from convincing the parents to send few children to school to gaining the confidence of children and recognizing, encouraging their talent, they did their best. This has been a great and valuable learning experience for AMMA team in all aspects.

All the Best to Prasad, Serve The Needy & New Group who takes the complete responsibility of the school from this academic year. Our Special Thanks to our Co-Group STN for their Coordination in making this Project a Grand Success.

INTER SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITIONS - Vikas @ ASWA

Hi Every one,
Previously, We successfully completed Intra School Quiz Competitions in Four schools in Hyderabad. And made a step forward to conduct a Inter school Quiz Competition for best Teams of these 4 schools.  With the support of dedicated In-charges (Teachers) from each school, we have taken permission from respective School H.M's for taking their School Team (6 Students) and 6 Students as Audience to the place where Inter School competition was planned.

Unfortunately On the Thursday evening we received a call from a School HM and she told that she was unable to send her school Team as the Coordinating Teacher has some urgent work.

We have no time & Friday is a Krishnastami holiday for all Govt. Schools. So we have no option to fill the Gap with any other school. So as an experiment we involved an AALANA Orphan Home, Boduppal as 4th Participant Group. Even though it is a very short notice, home coordinator send the children in order to expose them to these competitions by starting hard preparation.

FINALLY, THE FOLLOWING ARE THE 4 PARTICIPANT TEAMS
1. Zilla Parishad High School, Moosapet – Mr. Sudhakar, Coordinating Teacher
2. Government High School (Old), Sanath Nagar – Mr.Joshi &  Surendar Coordinating Teacher
3. Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Khairatabad
4. Aalana Home for Orphan Students, Boduppal

Winners of the Competitions are SVM School & Runners are ZP High School Moosapet. We distributed Shields to Winners & Runners Team along with Medals & Participant Certificates to total Team Members. Other Participant Teams got Certificates & Pens

It is a 1st Inter School Event by AMMA-ASWA and we can say that it's a grand success. We started the competition at 10.30 AM and its completed within the time i.e. at 1 PM.

We are requesting all participants to send their feedback (in particular Mr. Abhilash) Based on which we can make this event much more attractive & fruitful in the future.

This even is planned by Raghavendra & Durga Prasad and is very well supported by the other Active volunteers of ASWA, as usual. Our Special thanks to each and every one who are the reason for this events Execution & Success.  As everyone responded very positively. Especially School coordinating Teaches, who assured their HMs & who taken every responsibly of their School children is indeed inspiring.
