Hi Team,

As a part of our Monthly Activity of Conducting Competitions at Telugu Medium Schools under Carrer Guidence Program for Students, This Month we have conducted (organized by M.N.R.R.V.Srikanth) competitions at

Saraswathi Vidyamandir,
Venkata Rao Nagar,
Khairatabad,
Hyderabad.

It is really very great experience to all of us to visit this school and we inspired by the management of the school (which is RSS based).

We reached there at 9.00 and participated in the prayer (up to 9.20), then started our arrangements for Competitions. Our great achievement is that all the students of 8th, 9th and 10th classes were participated in the ESSAY WRITING COMPETITIONS.

After completion of this we started ELOCUTION COMPETITION and nearly 24 students participated in this. And after this few of them motivated us with their patriotic songs.

The assistant HM felt happy and appreciated our Group efforts and the way we managed the class room and encouraged the students.

I hope the students of this MANDIR will learn every aspect of life and also how to lead a meaningful life. When compared to many schools this is the best one with very affordable school fee (approximately around 5000/- per year per a 9th class child). Most of the students studying in the school are from economically backwards classes and slums and the Teachers also doing their jobs on services basis by taking minimum salaries. But everyone are disciplined and actively participating in every activity

My special thanks to V.Haritha, R.Srivalli, S.Sireesha, T.Uma Shankar and M.N.R.R.V.Srikanth for making this Activity a Grand Success

VISIT OF SIRIA ORPHAN HOME ON 24.01.10

For more Photos Click on

As part of our Monthly Homes Visit this month we have visited "SIRIA ORPHANAGE HOME & SCHOOL" on 24.01.10.

SIRIA ORPHANAGE HOME & SCHOOL
Near Ganesh Temple/Police station,
Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.
9866670278

Sri.Malyadri (Founder & Secretary) started this home with 5 orphan children in 2006. Now the number increased to around 100. Children are studying from nursery to 8th class. He also runs the school in the same compound for these children.

Previously this home is at NAGOLE. But due to heavy rains they relocated to their own building at vanasthalipuram (which is under construction). Now this is patricianly constructed and they are residing in side wall less Ist floor. The situation is somehow heart touching.

We reached there at 11.30 AM and returned at 2.30PM. We distributed Bananas and Chocolates. We participate in Food Donation by other donors by that time itself.
We, visited members, decided to donate monthly to help this organization (After getting some information & enquiry).

As per his voice all the children lost their School Dress and other things in the recent heavy rains. So he is in need of school dress to these children also. We want to contribute the same by accompanying with other groups.

When comes to his personal life by profession he take classes to Civil Service Examination Students for 4 hours a day and remaining time he spent for the home development and management. Monthly expenditure for school teacher is around Rs.40000/- (above 7 teachers) and 55000/- for other provisions and daily needs of the children and home.

Based on our observation home needs some support for their daily needs and also to construct the home, which is under process.

The criteria to join here is he/she should be orphan with death certificate of their parent (s).

Hi Team,

New Year Celebrations 2010 @ our activities:

We, AMMA group volunteers, visited 4 homes on this entire day. Almost Total day was completed in homes itself. It was a wonderful experience and very much inspired by the spirit of them. They have many talents, they are qualified and what all they are looking for is some support in their efforts to stand on their own.

There is lot of improvements in both Home for Orphan Students and Spoorthi Foundation. We have many performances and even others asked for more but due to time constraint we had to disappoint him.

There are few volunteers participated 1st time in these types of activities and were really inspired......We are very HAPPY and reenrgized with the immense of power we get from these activites by sharing our enjoyment with these kids, adults and old men throughout the day. I was back to my school days where i didnt enjoyed much from Distributing Greeting Cards...now that dream was fulfilled....

SAVE LIFE PROJECT

Blood Donation & Thalassemia awareness

ASWA’s objective in “SAVE LIFE” Project is to create awareness about BLOOD DONATION. We are donating blood to the needy and providing information/ directions to get blood at the earliest. Blood donation is the most valuable service to mankind. There is no substitute for it. About one of every seven people entering a hospital requires a blood transfusion. This startling statistics underscore the crucial nature of blood donation. There is no laboratory that manufactures blood inspite of latest trends in technology. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor like you, who makes the choice to donate.

    SHARE & CARE PROJECT

Visiting & Supporting Orphan, old age & other Homes

WE CONDUCT HOME VISIT ON MONTHLY 2nd SUNDAY

ASWA’s objective in this Project is to regularly visit Orphan, Old age & differently-abled homes to spent time with unwanted, uncared and unloved people to share our happiness, enjoyment and make them happy at least for few hours. So they feel that they have somebody to “Share & Care”, which increase their morals.

We also motivate the Founders of these homes by extending our financial support for the running of his/her noble thought. This also helps us to come out from our own stress, tensions in our daily life and will get a chance to go back to the childhood days and enjoy the real honey in the life by playing, singing, dancing & storytelling...

Visiting & Supporting Orphan Homes is the 1st activity of ASWA. Most of the members in the Group became active volunteers by participating initially in these Visits.  Most of the volunteers love to participate in these visits. Thanks to Veera Bhadran & Srikanth for their regular visits in 2008-09. These visits give you a world of confidence and satisfaction
