Hi Srinivas,

As per my knowledge on earlier Kappaladoddi visit, i think she was really eligible for our terms and she got 9.0(GPA) marks in 10th class results conducted by Board of secondary education A.P.and her financial status was really poor. off course i might be wrong at some circumstances.because i visited Kappaldoddi village in almost 5 hours, so that i really verified some people, her family is one of them.so that i recommended to support from our side.final decision up on Board

Thanks & Regards

Goal Setting & Career Guidance Session in 2 Govt Schools in KRISHNA DISTRICT

Hi Friends,

its very happy to share that, we are extending our CAREER GUIDANCE SESSIONS in all over A.P. wherever and whenever is possible. Its very helpful to the 10th Class Students to set their GOALS based on their Interests. For which they should know the different opportunities available for them after 10th Class. If few students lightened or got awareness with our session in setting a Goal, then it will be really wonderful... Hope it will reach more students...

As a part of this we conducted Sessions in KRISHNA District also..

Govt High School, Kummaripalem, Vijayawada:
on 23rd February, 2013  Mr. Srinivasa Prasad Rao conducted the session to the 60-70 Students of 10th Class. We started the session at 5.15 and completed it by 6.30PM. Thanks to the the students for their interest in listening to us even after School Hours. The students are very enthusiastic to learn the CAREER ROAD MAP. They interacted well and raised very useful doubts. Adilakshmi, Bhargavi, Vani & Hemanth are the other volunteers participated in this session. Stundents rounded us after the session and trying to learn more.. but we refused to give total info immediately rather than asked them to contact after their exams so that they get enough time to prepare for their exams. The feedback from children is really very happy to here.

Z.P. High School, Guraja Village, Mudinepalli Mandal, Krishna (Dt.):
With the very good feedback  from Kummaripalem School students, we got call from Vidya Sagar Garu who is associated with us and residing nearby to Kummaripalem school requesting us to conduct the same session in Gajara village in their School anniversary Celebrations itself on 28th February, 2013. Our Volunteer Bhargavi garu conducted the session to around 60 Students. As this is her 1st Session and due to reduction in the allotted time because of anniversary she fasten the session by excluding few little things.  But still students got the required info and we received a very good feedback from Students & School Management. Thanks to Sagar garu for referring us.

We are ready to conduct Goal Setting & Career Guidance Sessions even in your nearest Govt. Schools, as this is the right time to convey the info. We have only one week time available before exams.

Till now we conducted more than 10 Govt Schools in different parts of Andhra Pradesh like Hyderabad, Nellore(dt), Medak
(dt) & Krishna(Dt). And we are planning to extend the same to another 5 to 10 Schools based on the permissions available. This is very useful to students of VILLAGES where we didn't have much exposure to the current trends.

Pics will be shared shortly, if available

Session Content includes:

  • Personality & its importance
  • Importance of Setting a Goal in Life and How (ways) to achieve that.
  • Importance & Need of 10th Class
  • Different Career Options available after 10th Class (Jobs, Entrance Exams, Different Courses, Distance Education, Self Employment, Financial Assistance for Education Help etc.,)
  • We distributed Career Charts for 2/- to students and for free who dont have money

Food distribution in Vijayawada@ 4th March, 2013

Hello everyone,

Good Evening. This mail is about food distribution in Vijayawada.

Vani and Bhargavi has conducted food distribution on march 04 i.e., Sunday.
  • We have distributed 21 packets.
  • Each contain rice, dall, curd and a water packet.
  • This time I have two different experiences.
  • When we offered a packet, one man said “you eat,no thanks,I have money, can buy food for me”.i am very happy to his honesty words.
  • While the other asked “whether there is chicken inside the packet”,when we said NO,he refused to take the packet. me and Bhargavi are shocked in this case.

I am saying these words just to share my experience, but not to irritate who are reading the mail.

Thanks,
Vijayawada volunteers.

This was an interactive session where we discussed on the Meaning of Service/Help, Need of doing the same, Factor which created that Need, How we can help each other, Benefits we are receiving while Giving/Serving, Career as Service or Service as Career; How we can extend our help without spending much time/money or How to cultivate the habit of Serving Others and how to inculcate the same in our daily living. Before the session i introduced my self and explained "how ASWA initiated & its journey"

Thanks to all the direct/indirect supporters, who are the reason for making this session. I thoroughly enjoyed this New Role and wants to continue the same by making much more improvisation, wherever required.

<19th Saturday> Activities at Vijayawada - Srinivas & Naresh from Hyd is also participating

From: ASWA Date: Wed, Jan 30, 2013 at 3:29 PM

Hi Friends,

I would like share my views on our Vijayawada Trip, as per Agenda we visited all the places. First of all, I would like convey our special thanks to Vani, Bhargavi, Hemanth & Vidya Sagar Garu for his valuable time and their dedication is very inspiring. Hemanth & Vidya Sagar Garu are busy with their professions but still extend their support in their free days.

Vani & Bhargavi are very interesting, enthusiastic & dedicated to do activities. They don't have experience and also looking for a Male Volunteer(s) to support them. So that they can do more.

Me & Naresh  was totally in surprise after receiving a very Valuable Gift from VANI, I thought to go for a poster of the same kind from last 1 year but I couldn't. Now after receiving this I felt universe granted (as  usual) what I am searching for. Our special thanks to Vani
After the visit of Kanakadurgamma Temple in the morning we meet Vidya Sagar Garu and have a fruitful discussion regarding Self developments through Service,
without which Service has no meaning.  Then we moved to the following….

ASHIRVAD TRUST: This is a home for Old age people. We met & have a chat with founder Sahajananda Swami. In General observation home has sufficient funds to run healthily.

SHAIK. BHAJI:  Previously we supported for his School Stationery. He is a very active Dumb & Deaf Student. We visited house. His sister is also become blind in couple of years back. Their Parents felt & few doctors said she is mentally retarded.  We asked for the Medical Certificates. They don't have any. AS per our observation she may not be an Special Child based on her abilities in identifying and understanding. We thought of taking her to a Specialized Doctor to confirm the same. Bhargavi & Vani will contact Vidya Sagar Garu & Dr. Hemanth for further help in this case.

MAMATHA ORPHANAGE HOME:  There are around 15 Children and 4 to 5 Old men & women. The Founder is an maintain a Tea Shop. With the help of her Daughter-in-law she is running his home in his house. We can take Weekly/Monthly classes here to teach few things to the children based on volunteers availability.

ZION BLIND HOME: Finally   We visited this home. After casual chat with Warden, we planned to conduct Competitions for Republic Day.

All the above have already visited by our VIJAYAWADA team member. So we didn't spend much time.

MEET:-  After completed lunch @ 4 Pm J, we had a very long meeting discussing what to do and how to go on with actitivities at Vijayawada. I have explained our Rules, Regulations & Procedures to them . It's a really fruitful meet.

Finally I can say that our Visit to Vijayawada is a successful and useful one to Me & Naresh and to Vijayawada Team also. The love & affections they poured on us is really unforgettable.

Thanks to one and all

Hi Amma Team-Vijayawada

To conduct any Single Competition to Students for the 1st time is a challenging task. That too 5 Competitions at a time in 1st instance to Visually  & Physically Challenged Students is a bit difficult task.

But Vani & Bhargavi you made it possible with your dedication, determination & Hard work with the help of other volunteers of Vijaywada and others who helped them online

Our Special Thanks to Secretary Sankar for spending time in guiding new volunteers at Vijaywada even in his very important & busy schedule.
