AKSHARAM ADDAGUTTA-Management Change

Hi all,

There is a small announcement from AMMA team. We sent many mails in BosF seeking your advise when we started work in Mondi Banda slum (near Addagutta). It has been a great journey and the school has been established well.

Our volunteer, Ranganath, expressed his wish to handle the project on his own and take the complete responsibility. As per the request of Ranganath, we, AMMA team, decided to leave the management of activities in Mondi Banda slum to him. We wish him all the very best and are ready to extend our help, if required.

I take this opportunity to thank all the AMMA & BOSF volunteers and donors who are responsible for the present state of the school to the present state. Right from convincing the parents to send the children to school to gaining the confidence of children and recognizing, encouraging their talent, they did their best. This has been a great and valuable learning experience for AMMA team in all aspects.

All the Best to Ranganath & Team who takes the complete ownership of the school from this academic year.

Coordinating Team (Sri Valli, Durga Prasad and Guru Raghavendra) and all other Volunteers (Janaradhan, Naresh, Susmitha, Padmini & Girija) are working hard at Addagutta under the Supervision of Mr. Ranganath. They are putting all their efforts in every corner of the Slum and doing great job.

They are preparing charts, planning different Games and visiting door to door to create awareness and to attract children etc.,  Their efforts are really appreciable and very inspiring.

In our previous meet we planned to have more focus on attracting Children on regular basis and to teach them few moral things through activities along with appointing a Paid Volunteer.

Mr. Ravi is coming to Classes from couple of days (as deputed by ASHRAY). He is under observation and if we feel OK, then he will be appointed as Paid Volunteer. ASHRAY Group is showing great interest from the beginning to support our AKSHARAM PROJECT.  We are more thankful for their interest & support.

Daily we are getting around 15-20 children attendance.

Special Request: We need as many Volunteers who can guide us on different Games/ Activities to attract the children and to teach moral things (indirectly) through these games/activities.

From this Friday we are starting to give One Glass of Milk on every Friday to the children. This is sponsored by Mr. K. Surendra
