Hi all,

Now we are at the edge of the Academic Year and it's the right time to interact with the Students and create awareness and guide them further.

We are ready with the following events and are set aside from implementation due to lack of Volunteers. We need Volunteers who can Spend Couple of Hours on one Saturday or Monday in a Month.

• ·         Ability Test for 9^th & 10^th Students
• ·         Essay Writing & Elocution Competitions (Inter & Intra School)
• ·         Examination Tips & Motivation Sessions
• ·         Inter & Intra School Quiz Competitions

Interested can reply to this mail with the following info. Based on Volunteers we can plan the things by taking Permission from respective School management. We have more than 10-15 Govt. Schools which required our attention. Please do spend your valuable time to guide Students.

Visit of Sivananda Rehabiliation Center, Kukatpally

Hi Friends

on 11th November, 2012 we have visited Sivananda Rehabiliation Center, Kukatpally under of Share & Care Project Monthly Visit. The following is the Summary of the activity.

• Visited Children Home & Disitributed Biscuit Packets & Entertainement Activities from 10AM to 1 PM.
• Visited Old Age Home & Disitributed Biscuit Packets & Entertainement Activities.
• Our New Volunteers Generously donated Rs. 1200/- to old age home inmates.
• Total 11 Volunteers Participated in which Naresh, Balu, Susmitha & Adilakshmi are old Volunteers.
• Our Speical appreciations to New Volunteers Anudeep, Durga Prasad, Vani, Neethu, Rammohan, Ramoji & Naga Srinivas.
• Mr. Naresh & Susmitha coordinated the Event.
• our Volunteers are very much attached to this Home as children and  Old people inturn eagely waiting for our visit. Its always a Nice Experience to Visit this Home.

<10th December Monday> Competitions in Govt School, Old Sanath Nagar for 8th, 9th & 10th Students

Hi Friends

As mailed earlier we conducted the below competitions to the Students of 8th, 9th & 10th Class of Govt. High School(Old Ashok Nagar), Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad..

Essay Writing : పర్యావరణ పరిరక్షణ - నీ బాధ్యత 

Elocution : దేశ రక్షణ వ్యవస్థ (త్రివిధ దళాలు)- దేశ రక్షణలో నీ బాధ్యత 

Around 80+ Students participated in Essay Writing Competition and  25+ Students in Elocution.

Mr. Vinay Bhusan Garu explained about National Defense Academy in detailed and briefly about Defense System and need to Save our self and our Nation.

 

Thanks to the School Management, which extended their cooperation in conducting these competitions. 

Thanks to all the volunteers (Sai Kumar, Navatha, Haritha & Mr.Vinay Bhusan) who made this event a grand success.

Food Distribution at Vijayawada <30th November, 2012>

Hi All,

On 30th November, Sunday we have distributed 20 Lemon Rice Packets to Destitutes on Roads at Vijayawada under our Monthly Annam Parabrahmam Project Activity.

Activity is coordinated by Bhargavi Garu

9th - 11th Basics Sessions updates of GBE Primary School, Bulkumpet

Hi Friends,

Please go through the recent Happenings in our Basics Sessions at GBE Primary School.

8^th Session on 9^th November, 2012-         Games & Competitions for 14^th November children's day (which was already mail)

 9th Session on 12^th November, 2012

• Previously we divide them as 2 groups. Now again we tested them with Play Cards of Different Achulu, Hallulu, Vattulu and re-divided them into 3 Groups
• Thanks to Mrithyunjaya Reddy Garu for his Participation and he is ready to conduct EYE Check up for Children, which will be done shortly.
• Haritha has taken above standers class....and me and sai has taken for rest of children.

10th Session on 27th November, 2012

• We framed Rules & Regulations for Children regarding How to Maintain, Behave in Class and what is the Punishment if they are not obeyed to these. Its generating some results.
• 1^st Group Children know how to use words          -              For this Group Haritha is Taking the Class
• 2^nd Group can identify Vattulu but not able to frame sentences -              For this Group Sai Kumar is Taking the Class
• 3^rd Group Students only know the letters and they don't know vattulu  -              For this Group Sarath Chandra is Taking the Class
• There were holidays in between these days, due to that we didn't conduct any classes.

11th Session on 10^th December, 2012:

• Haritha conducted dictation in Telugu,  asked them to round up & identify vattulu and letters in News Papers
• Sarath Chandra told them Sarala padalu and
• Sai conducted Reading vattulu and dictation for their Respective Group Children.
• Teaching to 3^rd Group is very difficult which is handling by Sarath Chandra. We are putting all our efforts to teach these Group Students.
• On 10^th Dec we maintain previous class process

Previously we have 3 dedicated Volunteers who are taking care of 3 Groups. From 1^st January onwards 2 Volunteers will not available to take the classes. So we badly need at least 2 Volunteers to Support existing Volunteers. You need to spend 2 Hours (9-11AM) on every Monday. Of course, you even come whenever you have time. Successful Completion of 7th (1st Out door) Blood donation Camp at Bulkumpet, SR nagar on 25th Nov, 2012

Hi Friends

Our 1^st Out Door Blood Donation Camp completed very successfully. From past 1.5 Years or so we generally visit Thalassemia Society for every 3 months and do Group Blood Donation (30-50 Members).  But this time as per our Volunteers Mr. K. Surendra's request we planned to conduct this at SR Nagar/Ameerpet areas. Unfortunately we didn't find the Venue at Ameerpet/SR Nagar Main Roads but fortunately we got venue which is very nearer to MMTS Station. This idea not which attracted more Blood Donors but also spreads a word about "Thalassemia" to many.

Special Thanks to Surendra for his innovative step and he along with other Volunteers worked really hard to spread a word everywhere and to attract donors.  Our every Volunteer effort in spreading this was really appreciable.

Around 75 Volunteers participated and get awareness about Thalassemia, in which 50 Members donated their Blood. There are People who turn-up from longer distances exclusively to Donatie such as Amberpet, Vanasthalipuram, Kondapur, Patancheruvu etc., Their interest in Serving Others is indeed inspired all of us.

Kudos to all the Volunteers & Donors for their dedicated efforts in helping those little Thalassemia affected kids who need Blood Regularly. Special appreciations to our new Volunteers Naidu, Neethu, Naga Babu, Naga Srinivas, Balu, Deepa  who made this event very lively. There are other volunteers who turnup and helped us in coordinating this Camp, even they are not eligible to to donate Blood....Inspiring....

Who can & Who can't Donate Blood ?

U Can donate, if you(r) 

• Are between 18 and 55 years
• Weight of 45 Kgs and more
• Pulse Rate per minute is 50 -100 & constant
• Hemoglobin (HB) percentage is 12.5 gms
• Blood Pressure (BP) level systolic is in between 110 -140
• Blood Pressure (BP) level diastolic is in between 70 -90

U Cant, if you(r) 

• Took Live Vaccines for Polio, Typhoid, Measles, Rubella, Mumps (in 21 days)
• Took Killed Vaccines for Cholera, Rabies, and Hepatitis-B etc (in 7 days)
• On Medication (Using antibiotics or any other medications)
• Are suffering from Allergy, Bronchitis, Cancer or infected by any other infection
• Have Cardiac problems, hypertension, epilepsy, diabetes (on insulin therapy), history of cancer, chronic kidney or liver disease, bleeding tendencies, venereal disease etc.
• Cold / fever in the past 1 week
• Major surgery in last 6 months or Vaccination in last 24 hours
• Had fainting attacks during last donation
• Have regularly received treatment with blood products
• Shared a needle to inject drugs/ have history of drug addiction
• Had sexual relations with different partners or with a high risk individual
• Had a miscarriage in last 6 months or been pregnant / lactating in last 1 year
• Women during Menstruation period (1 to 7 days)

Before Donation:

• Avoid Alcohol before 1 day & Smoking before 4 hours 
• Get a good night's sleep (i.e. 6-7 hours)
• Have healthy Meal/Food
• Drink a lot of Water

After Donation: 

• Immediate rest of 10-15 min
• If you feel light headed take rest
• Avoid strenuous physical activities for 6 hours
• Drink a lot of Water & Plenty of fluids
• Healthy food
• Avoid Alcohol & Smoking for 24 hours
• ENJOY THE GOOD FEELING THAT YOU SAVE 3 LIVES BY DONATING BLOOD
