12th - 14th Basics Sessions updates of GBE Primary School, Bulkumpet

Hi all,

12^th Session on 17-12-2012

• We conducted basic and general awareness classes at GBES primary school at Bulkumpet on 17-12-2012. 
• We already intimated that we divided children as 3 groups. 
• This week Sai has taken Sarath class  
• Sai explained about Achulu, hallulu,and Sarala padalu to below standard students
• Haritha explained about Vattulu and conducted dictation, and using stars to appreciate them.
• Haritha & Harish(friend of Sai) has taken Sai and haritha classes. 
• Volunteer participated: Haritha, Sai& Harish

13th Session on 24-12-2012

• Sarath told them Sarala Padhalu with activity cards and at the middle of the session he refreshed by asking simple puzzles and tables. 
• Sai & Nagababu told them as Vattulu and conducted Dictation, sai also asked them numbers and tables. 
• Haritha conducted dictation and simple game using matching cards
• Volunteer participated:  Nagababu, Sarath, Sai, Haritha,

14th Session on 31-12-2012

• Sarath & Nagababu explained about basis to children using activity cards, 
• Sai conducted dictation & explained about Dvithasharalu and asked them numbers and addition 
• Haritha & Durga (Friend of Nagababu) Conducted dictation and paper reading. Finally verify home work
• Volunteer participated:  Nagababu, Sarath, Sai, Durga & Haritha

Because of half yearly exams and Pongal holidays we didn't conduct classes from Jan 1^st to 20^th Jan. Even on 21^st Jan we didn't take class at GBES school due to inspection.

We have only two more months to take classes in this school, so we need volunteers very badly, please turn up and support us.

Hi friends,

This is a mail regarding our visit to ZION BLIND HOME. Yesterday(07-01-2013) me(vani) and bhargavi garu visited ZION BLIND HOME located at machavaram down, Vijayawada.

• Its a home for blind and handicapped.
• It is found and run by church paster in 1995.
• There are totally 40 in number.25 are blind and the remaining are personally handicapped.
• All are students studying 10th,inter,degree.there are 2 kids also.
• All are arts students and studying in SRR&CVR govt.college nearby. 
• As per warden,they are very talented, and they can grasp subject just by hearing once or twice.
• They are very much active and welcomed us saying happy new year.  

Their requirements are as below:

NEED FOR SCRIBES(EXAM WRITERS):

D.Mallesh-    BA  1st yr.(SHP)- for english and computers

K.Kishore-      BA   1st yr.   "           Sociology,computer and contemporary

Ch.raju          BA    1st yr.   "          computer and telugu

N.R.prasad    Inter 1st yr.(HEC)      Economics,civics and english

K.Yesudas      BA   3rd yr.(SHP)      Sociology,History,Politics and contemporary

J.Danamma    BA  2nd yr.   "          sociology,political science and computers

What the warden has said is that, if the scribes also has some idea about subject,they also can help them in exam so that they can score maximum score.

NEED FOR BOOKS:

• B.Ed- Maths, physics and General subjects (Mater mind series)
• BA 1st yr-Sociology- 4 in no.
• BA 2nd yr-   ''          -1 in no.
• BA 3rd yr-Sociology 3rd and 4th paper - 1 each
• EXAM PADS - 10 in no.

They are having computer lab with one computer, so,if possible they are requesting for 2 more for practicing. 

They are requesting for an English teacher also.

They gave permission to conduct any competitions on jan 26th.

Hi all

On 22nd December, 2012 Saturday we have conducted below competitions in Zp High School, Moosapet. 

All Students (More than 200) from 6th to10th Class have Participated in Essay Writing Competition and More than 30 Students participated in Elocution.

Mr. Arun & His friend are our New Volunteers who turned up for this event from Amberpet. Their interest is really inspiring. For any activity Volunteers are the base. We need More of such Volunteers who can Spend couple of hours in a month.

Our Special thanks to Sri. Vinay Bhusan Garu who is supporting & guiding us with his experience and expertise. His knowledge is always heplful to the students. Hope we will explore more from him. He explained about National Defence Academy & System to the students.

Our New Year Day Started on a high note of Serving Others and Sharing Joy & Happiness with ourselves and with others too....

MORNING VISIT OF SRI KEERTHANA FOUNDATION @ 9AM - 2.30PM

As schduled earlier we visited Sri Keerthana Foundation, Hastinapuram on our New Year Day inorder to start our Year with Good Deeds, Thoughts & Acts. 

Special appreciations to Volunteers who turnedup even the destination is bit far from the city. We reached the Home @ 10.30 and spend time till 1PM. We played with Children and interacted with all Mentally Challenged & Bed Ridden Men & Women. They felt veyr happy with our interactions.  Its clearly visible from their expressed Happiness.  Unfortunately we are unable to meet the Founder Mr. Anil Kumar as he went on an important work but the remaining Staff extended their suppor and given the info.

We can see the following types of inmates in this home

• Orphan Children
• Oldage (Paid & Free)
• Special Children & Oldage
• Totally Bed Ridden

We Distributed

• 1 Rice Bag + Other Groceries (of Worth 2500/-)
• 6 Bed Sheets (600/-)
• Fruits (10 Dozen Bananas), Sweets (100) & Biscuits (100 Packets) (Total Worth 1250/-)
• Greeting Cards+Useful Story Books

Volunteers Participated: Sangeetha, Surekha, Lalitha, Madhavi, Maheswari, Bindhu, Suma, Prabha, Haritha, Kalyani, Venkatesh, Moulali, Raja, Naga Babu, Naga Raju, Sai, Srinu Rathod & Srinivasa Prasad Rao

Finally, like previous years, Our New Year Day Started with Noble Deeds of Serving Others and ended with Joyful Games & Interactions... Hope we wont have end to our Noble Deeds and also to our continuous Joy & Happiest Relations & Bonds which makes ours united under one Umbrella of AMMA-ASWA.

Yesterday,the first day of the new year,its more special to me and more memorable also as we went to orphanage in the evening activities:

1.Visit to old age home in the morning:-

• Bhargavi garu and hemanth garu visited old age home at 11AM in the morning .they have distributed fruits(apple,banana and oranges) to them and they spent half an hour with them. 
• People in the old age home felt very happy on their visit .

2. Visit to orphanage in the evening:-

• Vidya sagar sir,bhargavi garu,hemanth garu and me went to MAMATHA ORPHANAGE HOME at 6PM in the evening.
• it is started by sk.razia garu.its a small home just sufficient to the people living there.
• More than calling it as an orphanage,its a shelter to the people of all ages.
• There are children left by their parents of poor families,some children who have lost thier Parents,a mentally challenged girl,some are middile-aged,and one old-man also who is left by his sons as we can see them in piks.
• We enjoyed very much with the children,and spent the evening joyfully,they also gave a warm welcome to us.
• We distributed fruits,pulihora packets and laddu prasadm to them.
• We have donated 25kg rice,5kg dall,3kg oil.

Common Ability Test (CAT/CAB) for 9th & 10th Students in 4 Govt. Schools

Hi all,

As posted earlier we successfully completed CAT(Common Ability Test) in the below mentioned Schools except SVM.

Different Teams conducted Common Ability Test for 9th & 10th Class Students. Nearly 300-350 Students Participated in this from the below School. Many got surprised after seeing the Question Paper.

As our main intention beyond conducting this is to create an awareness in Students and get exposed them to Competitive or Entrance Exams after 10th Class. We can say that we have succeeded upto some extent. 

Test consists of 30 Questions and alloted time is 35 Mins. We will explain how to solve those (in detailed) in our Next Session.

Thanks to all the Volunteers who supported us in this New Event.

Our Special Thanks to Mr. K. Sai Kumar for Coordinating this event right  from planning to execution phase. And we are also Thankful to the school Management for their valuable support.

1.ZP High School, Moosapet Nagar-28th Dec, 12 Friday@9.45 PM

Naga Babu, Adilakshmi & Srinivasa Prasad Team conducted our 1st CATTest for 9th & 10th Class Students in Z.P.High School, Moosapet from 9.50 to 10.50AM. More than 100 Students Participated in this. Many got surprised after seeing the Question Paper. Naga Babuu is our New Volunteer who is actvely participating in  many of our activities. His support is really appreciable and valuable as we are in dire need of Volunteers.

2. Govt School, Ashok Nagar-31st Dec, 12 Monday@2 PM

Sai, Haritha, Sarath Chandra Team conducted our  2nd CATTest for 9th & 10th Class Students in Old School, Ashok Nagar, Sanath Nagar from 2 to 3 PM. More than 80 Students Participated in this. 

 

3. Govt RT School, Sanath Nagar-31st Dec, 12 Monday@2.30 PM

Sarath Chandra & Srinivasa Prasad Team conducted our 3rd CAT Test for 9th & 10th Class Students in Govt Round Table School, Sanath Nagar from 2.30 to 3.30 PM. More than 110 Students Participated in this.

Many believes that starting a New Year day with good deeds and thoughts not only gives happiness and satisfaction on that moment but also change that Complete Year as an Year of Joyful & Positive living.   So Most of the people spend their valuable time on this 1^st day by doing good deeds….  

So in order to give an opportunity to these (our volunteers, donors or anybody and everybody) we started celebrating the NEW YEAR DAY by visiting Unwanted, Uncared & Unloved People and distribute something from our earnings.  Doing Good to Mankind who are in need is considered as the utmost good thing you can do on the Planet Earth.

Visit of Sri Keerthana Foundation, which is located at Plot No :189, Central Hasthinapuram, Nagarjuna Sagar Road, L.B Nagar, Hyderabad-79. It consists of 100 inmates who are Mentally Challenged Children and Old men & Orphan Children

We are planning to spend some time with these and distribute Groceries & food stuff according to their need. You can also join us LB Nagar/Sagar Ring Road/Hasthinapuram

Happiness:- The State/Situation, in which I live, if there is harmony/synergy in it, then like to be in that state or situation

To be in a State of liking is Happiness

To be in harmony is Happiness

Prosperity: The feeling of having More than required Physical Facilities is Prosperity. For this 2 things are required

Identification of required quantity of Physical Facilities (food, clothes, shelter etc etc) and

Ensuring availability or Production of more than required Physical Facilities

We always feel unhappy, unrepressed due to the only reason that we don’t know exactly how much we need/want. We will be always happy if we stop comparing with Others in anything or everything. Set your own measurements instead of comparing with others….

Common Ability Test (CAB) for 9th & 10th Students in 4 Govt. Schools

Hi Friends

We are trying to start a New activity of conducting Common (General) Ability Test for 9^th & 10^th Class Students in the below mentioned Schools. Paper consists of 30 (Multiple Choice) Questions of their standards, which expose them to few Competitive exams after 10^th Class.

Special appreciations to our Volunteers Raghavendra & Samhitha who prepared Question Papers for this. We are conducting this under trail & error method.  Whatever the objective of this Test is; Students will get benefited from few Bit Questions. We are also trying to conduct a 30 Marks Test on Natural Science.

Mr. Sai Kumar's dedicated efforts from last 6 months or so  in all our activities is really inspiring. In particular he is working hard in conducting different competitions in Govt. Schools (under VIKAS PROJECT) and taking part in Weekly Sessions at GBE Primary School on every Monday.

Kudos to all the Volunteers for their dedication and involvement.

• We visited the Home at 4PM and spent around an Hour with these Kids
• Distributed Biscuit Packets to all 70 children
• Spend Some time with Children & Teach few Good points from life histories of CV Raman, Kandukuri Vireshalingam etc.,
• New Volunteers : Alekhya, Sridevi, Mounika, Krishnaveni, Vishwaja & Vasundhara
