Re: Required Volunteers for Recycle Awareness Campaign by AMMA

Team we have successfully completed our "Waste Management Awareness Cam at Balaji Simhapuri Clony, Motinagar on June 20^th Sunday.

Around 17 volunteers from different groups have participated (Nenunnanu, Vriddi Foundation, Spoorthi Foundation, Rotary Club and Loksatta) to Support our AMMA activity.

This event started at 9.30 AM with Group meeting and planning. We divided into 7 groups (each contains 2/3 volunteers) and covered more than 30 Apartments and 20 Individual houses. We ended up the activity around 2 PM.

Most of the Apartments and Individual house owners have shown interested to follow these steps in order to reuse/recycle DRY WASTE and save our Environment.

We have placed around 25 bags [each carry 200kgs bags in 25 apartments] to deposit dry waste from each apartment, which can be collected by ITC (RAMKY) team by paying 2 and 4 rupees per kg when the bag is filled and in turn they will reuse it for produce other products rather than just throwing at away.

Many of the volunteers expressed their interest to implement the same activity in their residential complex and apartment and colonies and felt happy to be part of this activity.

We planned to visit this colony again with in couple of weeks along with ITC volunteers to increase their interest

4. Finally saving the Earth / Environment from pollution & deterioration

Volunteer Work:

1. Meeting at Balaji Swarnapuri Colony Park, Behind Siva Reddy Sweets, Mothinagar by 9am.

2. Discussion and allocation of appartments among volunteers.

3. Going and meeting All Residents and explaining about importance of keeping Drywaste and Wetwaste separate

4. Collecting Phone Numbers of appartment association active persons and giving that to ITC-wow for collection

This entire work will end up by 12 noon.

Once this program is successful, we want to replicate it in other places of Hyderabad.
