We might come across different types of stories that creates interest in learning and introducing reading habits for children. We are mostly aware of Fictional and Non-fictional story books, from them different segregation of story books are well explained by Haritha garu by taking examples of books shared previously in group.
.Story Cards -- Books has no title and story lines, only sequence of pictures and story can be formed through kids view(helps to engage kids in knowing their thought process and attitude). Title can be children's choice😉, after completing the story.
.Wordless Picture Books- Only picture with rare sentences. It has title and childern should form story based on title clue.
.Picture Story books - With story lines and pictures(plot is must)
.Numerical/Alphabetical (TLM) - Helps in teaching and learning related to numbers and alphabets , focus more on introducing them to kids.
.Conceptual picture Books - It introduces concepts to childern (example directions, maps etc..). It is simply any concept in picture + storylines
.Rhyming Books/Predictable Books - Story runs with rhyming, characters in story continue along with previous ones. They help in language improvement for kids in introducing new words
.Cumulative Stories - It is like series, i.e. more than one story, sequence of stories with same characters in stories(Example- sudarban adavulu in telugu)
