I have visited chy. krishnavenis house on 17th at kakinada. Also met principal of the school where her son is studying. All teachers as well as principal confirmed the good behavior of the boy and informed me the boy is hard working and is getting good marks in the Exams.
Krishnaveni the mother of the boy gets only Rs.3000 as a salary which is not sufficient to maintain her two sons and parents at her native place. However I find one thing strange, Krishnveni who is A GRADUATE has to try for a better job or else she can appear for competitive exams in order to increase her income and become less dependent on others.
I made it clear to her ASWA will help her son till such time that she becomes self sufficient and she should go for either for further studies or should try to enhance her quantification to go for a better job in order to earn more money to become self sufficient. So my advise to ASWA is to help her but with a tag advising her to go for a better job.
The principal agreed to receive the fees in two installments. I have already submitted the relevant documents to MR. Srinivas when i last met him. I hope ASWA will take a decision soon. Thank u all. with best wishes.

Dear Members,
It has been long pending from my side to give you an update about my verification of this case. The delay is partly due to my own busy schedules at home & work and partly due to the background checks I had to do with the case. This is my first volunteer stunt at ASWA and I am satisfied to a great extent to serve the needy in my capacity. Below, are the points and proofs that I had gathered.
1. The person in need is Krishnaveni , a divorcee and mother of two kids. She requested help towards funding the education of her elder son Rajesh. He finished 3rd standard and stood first in the class.
2. When I spoke to her over the phone, she didn't sound like a person from a downtrodden family. But her living conditions spoke otherwise. She earns a meager Rs.3,500 p.m in the marriage bureau she works in. The bureau is housed in a 3 room house and she herself stays in one of the rooms. Luckily her company takes care of all the utility bills. but still she is finding it hard to run the house with such a meager amount.
3. After she broke up with her husband, she had to go through many hardships, especially after her second child was diagnosed with FITS. she had to spend all she had for his treatment. V.Krishna, who referred her to us is funding the educational expenses of her 2nd child.
4. I have enquired the marriage bureau owner and found all the facts she provided to be true. I also enquired with the school principal and he agreed to give a discount of 1500/- from the yearly tuition fee of 10000/- for Rajesh, if we can directly pay him Rs.8,500/-.
I was very much moved moved by her words. "What ever I can afford, I am investing in the education of my children. But I am unable to give them nutritious food". She became very emotional after that. I can only salute her determination to provide good education to her kids in spite of all hardships she is facing.
Regards,
Jaswanth Gannina.
