19th blood Donation Camp on 10th May 2015 @S.R.Nagar for Thalassemia Children

Dear Kind Hearts,

  

         We extend our sincere thanks to you for donating blood at our Blood donation  camp @ Srinivasa Nagar Community Hall on 10th May 2015 conducted by Amma Social Welfare Association (ASWA). In this camp 120 members participated and 88 donors donated blood  for Thalassemia Children.

 Blood donation is the act of giving life. Your one hour spent in donating the blood is going to give life to someone in need. Your blood could save anyone from a little baby to an old individual. 

 Your generosity has been the hope and courage for thousands of those patients who suffer from Thalassemia. Thanks to your support, those with Thalassemia now continue to lead complete and full lives. All barriers have been brought down, and continue to be brought down, and many Thalassemic patients go on to do extraordinary things!

    It is no doubt that blood is the vital need of all human beings. And this is most true for thalassemic patients.

    Thank you for saving the lives of countless people. Thank you for being their hope. Thank you for being an abundant fountain of courage and support.

Healthy Food Distribution at Govt Ayurvedic Hospital on 26th May ,20015@Hyderabad

On 26th May we have successfully completed Bread and fruits distribution at Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, under Annam Parabrahmam Project

FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN KOTI GOVT METERNITY HOSPITAL, ON 20TH APRIL(MONDAY), IN HYD.

Hi friends,

We successfully completed Food Distribution at Koti Maternity Hospital, Hyderabad.

There are a few  inpatients in Hospital. so, we distributed food packets to patient attendees in the hospital. 

This time we distributed 150 Lemon Rice packets to female patient attendees only.

Blood donation is among the highest service one can render to humanity. With this thought, AMMA Social Welfare Association  is organizing Blood Donation camp on May 10, 2015 (Sunday). This small activity can save lives of many Thalassemia effected children. Blood Donation Awareness Rally  Details ::

 Rally Starts From SRNagar UmeshChandra statue    to Our  venue towards satyam Theatre.

• There is a general misconception among people that blood donation leads to physical weakness which has been proved irrational medically and is just a psychological effect. A person recovers the blood
  donated in just 20 to 59 days and
  hence can donate again after 90 days. Donating blood in every 3 months has been proved healthy.

• Enhance the production of new Red Blood Cells.
• Burns calories, One pint of blood (450 ml) when donated burns 650 calories in donor’s body.
• Helps in fighting “Hemochromatosis”, it’s a genetic disease which  may lead to organ damage.
• I
  t has been mentioned in various sites though not proved that elderly people in good health have reported feeling
  invigorated or re
  energized by giving blood on a regular basis.
• Reduces the chance of heart diseases, also It helps in reducing the chance of heart attack to one third.
• Apart from all these benefits a donor gets a mini blood test done before donating blood. This includes Hematocrit i.e. HB
  level test,
• Blood pressure is measured, body weight is checked. After the blood
  
  
  is collected it tested for 5 major diseases. Those
  are Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, Syphilis and malaria.

The most valuable thing you can donate is your blood, there is nothing  precious than a human life.
