Really this is an opportunity for us to get aware of the techniques they follow for the students through which we can extend our activities in any other schools.
I am requesting our volunteers to attend that session so, that we can assist the team Yuva Varadhi and manage the things well.

Thanks to Manoj & Satyanarayana for updating us by providing this information.
SVM Team (Srikanth/Adithya/Manoj/Mallika) will post the updates with in the couple days after every week’s session so you can check the same in the below link.
Apart from this, they also decided to give prior intimation about the “TOPIC” of the next week class, so that we can assist them by providing the information/stuff and even can participate if we have time.

Hi friends,
On last Saturday i.e. 9th July 11 we, the volunteers, Aditya, Satyanarayana and Manoj successfully completed our weekly session at Saraswathi Vidya Mandir.
- Aditya explained about the various types of plastics and their codes and various objects and things that are made from these different types of plastics.
- Satyanarayana narrated some short moral stories.
- After narration of stories Satya done two small experiments on Refraction of Light i.e. we made the students to place their finger on the back of a transparent glass jar having water and observe their finger by observing through this jar of water and another one is we kept a pen in the transparent glass jar of water and made the students to observe the pen or any object.
- Finally we gave an assignment for the students to give reasoning or science behind these experiments.
- Aditya gave a puzzle to students and we asked them to give their answers on next Saturday.
Students are very interested in listening stories and experience the experiments. I request you all to give some suggestions regarding experiments or any topics to take session for the students on this Saturday i.e. 16thJuly11.I feel that we all can generate better ideas that can implement for the students which make them more interactive and create interest on studies. And also your presence makes the students to experience differently. So feel free to provide suggestions and be a part in that Session.

Hi all,
This year we started a new project through which we are planning to provide value based education to the children. Details of the project are as below.
Project title: Value based education (Under VIKAS Project)
Place: Sri Saraswathi Vidya Mandir, Khairatabad, Hyderabad.
Target group: 8th, 9th and 10th standards.
Total no.of students: 60 (approx)
Timings: Every Saturday 1.30 pm to 3 pm.
Motto: Present education system is providing vast knowledge in different subjects. But the same education system is not giving the practical exposure which is creating a huge gap between the individual and the society. Due to this, our society facing different problems like unemployment, irresponsible citizen. Despite having 74 percent literacy rate in India, it has 10.8 (approx) unemployment rate for 2011. Even though our education system providing thousands of professionals in different areas the success rate of their placements is too low due to the lack of skills required the current world. The another problem with this education system is irresponsible citizens. Though people educated they never felt that they are also part of the "System". Because of this, they are not in a position to obey the rules which are created for smooth running of the society. Destroying the public property (Buses, police vehicles etc) in the name of riots is another major problem in the present day society.
So, in this context, we are planning educate the children in the way that they realize the importance of the different institutions which are prevailed in the society. In the process of teaching, we will make them know that how these institutions improvising their living standards and how they are helping to lead their life smoothly. We are also planning to teach communication skills, interpersonal skills to the children which will help them to build their career. We are planning to provide knowledge about developments in different sectors like socio-economic, political, environment etc. Our motto is to make the children capable and responsible citizens which will added advantage to demographic dividend of our country.
Current status of the project: We started the class on 25-06-2011 (Saturday). We took the basic details of all the students to know their status and we are analyzing the data based on that we will plan our classes. We are planning to have a discussion with Mr.Anil, member of BOSF who has a lot of experience in this regard. I sincerely thank Mr.Anil for his initiation to make this programme more effective.

Dear Friends,
We are going to conduct sessions to the students of Saraswathi Vidya Mandir Khairatabad on this Saturday i.e. 25th June 11 at 1:30 PM to 2:30PM. As we are planning this as a Project so we planned to take sessions on every Saturday at 1:30 PM. we chose this school because here the students are taught "value Based Education" i.e. moral values along with their curriculum. Students are good at discipline. So these factors made us to take up this school so we can easily expose our knowledge and get experienced. This experience surely assures us to take up sessions in any govt. schools at any remote places where they face poor faculty and poor infrastructure.
As this is the first session we are planning to interact with the students first by making them to tell about their interests and hobbies etc. our main idea is to make them feel free that we are not their regular teaching faculty but we are their brothers and sisters who came to tell stories and make them to play innovative games through which they strengthen their interpersonal skills.
So we need ideas from each and every volunteer and if possible they can spend their valuable time with the "Ignited minds".
Our plan is to make the students to visualize the real time scenarios by mapping their subject to real world. Not only the subjects they have but the real education through which they build their character and share their knowledge. So each and every volunteer can share their ideas and even can spend their valuable time in giving sessions on their own interesting areas through stories and real time examples.
