Joining of Shakkubhai a Visually Challenged Women in Old age home and our financial support to this family

Hi team,
Mr.Raghuram, visually challenged person (55-60 years of age) residing at Vikalangula Colony, Karmika Nagar, Hyderabad. His sons and his family are residing at AnnajiGuda and is not looking after their parents. Raghuram and his wife are getting regular old age pension of 1,000/-.

With couple of NGOs support and help their daughter got married. Raghuram is going for begging to over come their daily needs. He knows few hand works like Sofa repairing, Chair manufacturing, Agarbatti making etc, But he is unable to go out for any work because of his Bed ridden wife, named Sakkubhai aged around 50 year.

She is suffering with back bone problem and even unable sit and completes her own works. As she is a bed ridden he is unable to out for any regular works.

Due to other NGOs voice he has shifted his house from a hut to floored house. Which costs rent of Rs.2, 000/-. That NGO who promised his monthly rents will not turn up and he unable to pay the rent, which was accumulated to around rs. 6,000/-.

Our volunteers (Myself joined letter by Bhadra, Prabha, Srivalli, Srikanth, Srinivasa Prasad Rao and Amarnath) are regularly visiting this family and decided to join his wife Sakkubhai in an old age home, so that Raghuram will get some space and then we can place him some where to work.

We have advised to shift him from this home, from which around 2,000/- of his rental burden will be decreased. We have paid/donated Rs.3, 000/- to clear off his rental dues. Now he shifted to ANNNAJIGUDA for rent of Rs.500/-.

With all the efforts of the above said volunteers, we shifted his wife to Ashray, a home for old age and destitute, Malkajgiri. The founder of this home Sri.Madhavi Garu extended her full support and told that if Sakkubhai adjusted and adapted to these conditions, they can place her permanently in this home.

But to our disappointment she was unable to adapt to these conditions and want to stay with her husband only. So we shifted her back to her husband on last Monday (5th July, 10).

Our volunteers have donated more than 3, 000/- in different time intervals when ever they visited in part amounts apart from our one time 3, 000/- donation.
Our special thanks to Sri Aparna, Madhavi, Surendra, Srivalli, Prabha, Veerabhadran, Srikanth and Amarnath for their efforts in this case.

Love all-Serve all
