Hi all,
This is the first visit from ASWA Team in Anantapur and over all 3rd activity after Blood Donation Camp & Visit of Dr. Khadeer Ahmed. Here we are trying to motivate new volunteers in and around Ananthapur who can spend an hour in a month to Serve the Society.
For this we conducted a Home visit to ANDHA MAHILA ASHRAMAM in Anantapur to gather the interested volunteers in Ananthapur under one roof.
Our New volunteer Nalini garu supporting me well in Anantapur to spread our services.
'ANDHA MAHILA ASHRAMAM' is running from past 6 years by V.Lakshmi narayana garu .He is working as a Teacher in same village (KuruKunta) and he is also Blind.
He started this home to provide education to blind Girls and to give employment through education.
In this he is motivating and giving support to Blind Girls. In this home nearly 15 girls are staying and they are aged from 5 to 25 years. They are studying from 10th to Degree.Few girls doing Teacher Training and few of them completed 10th class through open school.
They are learning classes through Tape-Records and CD players. Up to 10th they learned in braille. Now they required Tape recorders or CD players either new or old to listen these classes.
our new volunteer Nalini garu arranged Breakfast (Pongal,sweet and banana). Its great achievement for me & ASWA to get volunteer like Nalini garu. She is very dedicated in serving others. She is motivating new volunteers and in every visit she bring new volunteers.
In this visit S.K.D College student Mohammad Azaruddin and TMAD volunteers Kamalnath Garu and Manjula Garu joined us. Thanks to them for their valuable presence in this home visit, which motivated us towards more...
