Hi Team,
We have successfully completed our 2nd event under “Save Earth-Each one-Plant One” program successfully at Saraswathi Vidya Mandir, Khairatabad on 15.03.2010.
Here we have planted trees (Kaanaga) with the help of children & HM. It was hard task for Volunteers to dig the soil in the hot and humid conditions. We even rocks/stones in couple of instances. But the total credit goes to Kantha Rao, Vijaya Narasimha Reddy, Uma Shankar and the supported children who worked really hard. My special thanks to them for their time and participation. We reached the school at 9.30AM and returned at 2 PM.
We really enjoyed every minute of it and eagerly searching for more places where we have the facilities to plant trees, even in summer. There are few plants which needs regular watering in the first couple of months only.
Here our intention is not to plant trees in bulk at one place as one time event …rather plant trees where somebody can look after and in particular in Schools, Colleges, Colonies, Old age/Orphanage homes where the children will learn the importance practically and also will do the same from the activity itself.
It my pleasure to convey our special thanks to the school management, who extending their support to us in all the activities/plans.
